Term 1: Parent Information Night - held in the second week of the school year
Parent Teacher Interviews - held in the second week of Term 1
Term 2:
Student Led Conferences - held in the latter part of Term 2
Semester 1 Report
Term 3:
Three way Interviews - held in the second week of Term 3
Term 4:
Semester 2 Report
From time to time you may have concerns about your son's progress in any aspect of school life. The School strongly recommends that concerns be brought to the attention of the School immediately.
There is a range of staff in the school who will be pleased to address concerns.
- Class Teachers
Classroom teachers are responsible for the pastoral care of their students. The classroom teacher will often be the first point of contact when concerns arise. - Junior School Support Team
The Junior School Support Team consists of a School Psychologist, Support Teacher and Speech Pathologist. It is recommended that the Support Team be contacted through the classroom teacher. There may be times when parents feel the need to contact members of the Support Team directly. Parents should feel comfortable contacting Support Team members directly on these occasions.
Encouraging Excellence
An award card system is in place across the school to encourage students to do their best and to acknowledge both their endeavour and achievements. Excellence awards recognizing endeavour, citizenship and achievement are presented by classroom teachers. Outstanding Achievement Awards acknowledge students who have demonstrated growth in one or more elements of the IBO Learner Profile. Outstanding Achievement Awards are presented at Assemblies.
Enrichment
Extra help and encouragement are given to boys who are finding difficulty with some aspect of their studies. Individual attention is offered when necessary and small groups operate to increase a boy's confidence with a particular skill or concept. Extension work is also available for boys to work individually and cooperatively. Parents are consulted prior to their son's inclusion in any work in the enrichment area.
Library Resource Centre
The Resource Centre is open before school, at recess and lunch times for borrowing and exchanging books and for participating in the other activities available. Each class also has one Library period per week. Loss or damage to books will be charged at cost.
