Scotch College provides Information, Communication and Learning Technology resources including access to the Internet to support learning, teaching, research and collaboration.

The College has an extensive technology infrastructure which includes wireless access, learning resource centres throughout the campus, specialized software, filtered internet access and hardware and projection devices relating to curriculum areas. Students are provided with personal storage areas on the network and printing facilities.

Boys can join the various Computer Clubs in both Senior and Junior Schools. The Learning resource centres are available for educational use by boys before and after School as well as the second half of lunchtime each day.

The School's policy statement on using information, communication and learning is circulated to parents. This acceptable use policy has four basic principles. All students using the Internet at Scotch College will:

  • Respect others' rights to freedom from harassment, intimidation and to use all Information, Communication and Learning Technology resources appropriately and with care for learning
  • Adhere to the laws concerning copyright and other intellectual property rights
  • Follow security and safety restrictions for all systems and information, maintain personal digital resources especially the secrecy of passwords.
  • Recognise limitations to the privacy of electronic communication and documents.

The School's policy extends outside the School when using any Scotch College information, communication or learning technologies. The acceptance use policy is found in the Student Diary.
