The Track Tradition Continues

Sixteen of our Year 10s continued their Bibbulmun Track expedition in the first week of term when they walked 166 kms from Balingup to Pemberton over 6 nights and 7 days. The biggest day's walk was 36kms in fairly warm weather carrying their gear from Gregory Brook to Tom Road Campsites (traversing past Donnelly River Village). The boys proved very independent in setting up their gear, maturely managing their supplies and responsibly taking turns to lead when navigating, epitomizing the values of the Track expedition which saw Scotch Boarding receive the 2012 National Award for Most Innovative Boarding Program from ABSA. The following pictures capture some of the scenery, mateship, and a bit of the hardship the boys experienced. The Bibbulmun Track continues to be one of the points of difference in the holistic educational experience offered by Scotch College and enjoyed by our boys.
