The House System is fundamental to providing pastoral care for Senior School boys. Boys are placed in one of 10 Houses for the duration of their time in Senior School. House Heads provide guidance in all areas of a boy's School life - academic, spiritual, emotional and physical.
House Heads work closely with parents and are a liaison for families during their association with Scotch. The House Head should be the first point of contact between parents and the School should any issue arise.
House Heads work in consultation with the Headmaster, Deputy Headmaster, House Tutor, Director of Teaching and Learning, Chaplain and School Psychologist and provide guidance on a boy's choice of subjects, activities and participation in other co-curricular spheres.
Boys wear House ties so that they may more easily be identified with their House. House Heads can then be given information about the welfare of their students.
