PLC Junior School Speech Night Preparation 

Within the College's strategic direction for Teaching and Learning we have set out three goals in the areas of the Scotch Community, the Broader Community and Governance.

1 - Scotch Community

To foster an environment where all stakeholders share expertise, resources, networking and experiences to enhance the strategic direction of the College.

Strategies:

  • Develop and implement the Integrated Communications Plan.

  • Develop and implement the Comprehensive Fundraising Plan to meet the future needs of the School.

  • Develop and implement the Strategic Plan for the effective operation of the Old Scotch Collegians.

  • Undertake a Review of Boarding.

  • Implement Project MyScotch and Project Oberon - see Teaching and Learning.

2 - Broader Community

To extend our knowledge and understanding of the wider world through interactions with third parties.

Strategies:

  • Continue to strengthen ties with the Uniting Church.

  • Continue to strengthen ties/links with Presbyterian Ladies College (PLC).

  • Continue to develop relationships with UWA and other education institutions.

  • Continue to examine the possibilities with BHP Billiton Iron Ore & PLC to introduce a satellite school in Port Hedland.

  • Develop and implement a strategic Marketing and Media Plan.

  • Develop strategic partnerships with local and global Technology and Curriculum partners.

  • Develop links with other institutions that can enrich the life of students at Scotch College.

3 - Governance

To provide a structure to support the work and relationship between the College Council and College Executive in implementing the Strategic Plan.

Strategies:

  • Plan and implement the next Capital Campaign and design future campaigns.

  • Review the Master Plan for building and infrastructure.

  • Undertake the Risk Management Review of the College.

  • Review Funding Models for the future of the College.

  • Refine/review the Reporting Timetable for Executive to Council.
