School Bus Services
Scotch College provides a subsidised bus service for our students living in the Coogee, South Perth, Subiaco, West Leederville, Floreat and Shenton Park areas. We also offer a shuttle service between our sister school PLC and Scotch. Some of the services are shared between PLC in Peppermint Grove, and St Hilda's in Mosman Park.
We regularly review passenger numbers on all the routes to ensure as many students as possible can access the services. While we make every effort to facilitate this, we are not able to meet every individual need.
If you have feedback or would like further information, please get in touch at plcscotchbusservice@scotch.wa.edu.au.

Tickets
Our dedicated bus routes cost $2.00 per trip.
Horizons West, our bus provider, has moved to an electronic ticketing system, which will be linked to students' SmartRider cards. SmartRiders can be ordered through the Junior and Middle School Reception and Student Services in Senior School. Please note, SmartRiders are also used in the school canteen for purchasing food and there is a separate FlexiSchools platform for uploading canteen-specific funds.
How do I add money to my SmartRider?
To add money to your SmartRider for the Horizons West buses (separate to the Transperth and FlexiSchools) you will need to set up a separate account on the Horizons West website.
What happens if I don't have a SmartRider yet?
Students waiting for their SmartRider card to arrive can purchase interim tickets from Junior and Middle School Reception and Student Services in Senior School. Students who have hard-copy tickets remaining may continue to use these tickets until funds have been uploaded to their Horizons West account. Any unused tickets may be return to the school for a refund on the student's account at the end of Summer Term 2021.
