John Maxwell Ferguson Fund

This capital investment fund was named in honour of John Maxwell Ferguson, who financed the relocation of Scotch College from Beaufort Street, Perth to its current premises in Swanbourne in 1904.

His vision and generosity provided a wonderful foundation for the future.

The J M F Ferguson Fund aims to build a sustainable capital base for the School – ensuring true independence and financial security for the future. It aims to achieve significant capital growth in the medium to long-term, after which large and regular contributions will be made to the School to provide for the continuation of first class education.

Future distributions from the Fund will financially support:

  • new buildings
  • land acquisitions
  • technology requirements
  • on-going development of human resources
