John Maxwell Ferguson Fund

This capital investment fund was named in honour of John Maxwell Ferguson, who financed the relocation of Scotch College from Beaufort Street, Perth to Collegians’ House in Swanbourne in 1904.

His vision and generosity provided a wonderful foundation for the future.

The aim of the JM Ferguson (JMF) Fund is to draw on the collective financial strength of the greater School community, with the goal of creating a substantial capital base. This capital base, in time, will generate growing returns to become one of the providers of capital funds for the next hundred years of the College’s life.

In order to establish the Fund and enable its successful first stage of development, an effective structure was supported by a number of members of the Scotch College community who generously provided a loan of $50,000 over a five-year period.

We are now inviting new participants to the Fund via a contribution of a minimum of $25,000 interest free loan for a period of at least three years.

The Directors of the Fund are John Flecker, Tim Lyons, Paul Carter and Simon Jackson.

If you would like to discuss further any of the above, please contact Kate Quinn, Director of Advancement and Philanthropy on kate.quinn@scotch.wa.edu.au or +61 89383 6832.
