What is your current availability?
Please get in touch with our Admissions team on +61 8 9383 6800 or [email protected] for the latest information on places in your preferred school year.
How does the waitlist work? When is the waitlist reviewed?
Applications received after a year level is fully enrolled or for a current year level are placed on a waitlist for review should a place become available.
The College Admissions team processes waitlist applications carefully and strives to find enrolment places for students. However, the timing of waitlist reviews depends on various factors, including student withdrawals, so there is no set review period.
Communication regarding Year 7 intake will be sent each term in the year prior to entry. Rest assured, we work to accommodate waitlisted students as quickly as possible.
What happens if I defer my offer?
If you defer your offer, we will keep your child on our waitlist for the following intake year while retaining their original application date.
If I want to update my son’s entry year, do I need to apply again?
You do not need to reapply. Please reach out to our Admissions Team to update.
My son has been accepted into the College; what happens now?
Families will receive communication outlining key dates early in the year before entry. You will be invited to attend the Orientation Events, where students are welcomed to their sub-schools and meet key staff and their peers/cohort. On boarding communication will be sent August the year prior to commencing.
What happens if I accept an offer, pay my confirmation fee and then change my mind?
Your child will return to our waitlist for the next intake year, retaining their original application date. Please keep in mind that all places are dependent on the number of students entering each year and unfortunately, we are not able to guarantee a place should you defer your offer.
Do you offer scholarships?
At Scotch College we offer scholarships for academic and musical excellence, as well as Boarding and Indigenous Scholarships supported by MADALAH.
Available from Year 7, scholarships are open to both current and prospective students.

What languages does Scotch College offer?
Our language programme includes French, Indonesian and Spanish.

What music and arts opportunities are available?
At Scotch, we value a broad education—and the Arts play a vital role in this. All students are encouraged to take part in music and performance, including choirs, orchestras, and a wide range of ensembles.
Our musical groups perform throughout the year at Scotch and across Perth, with the Pipe Band a standout favourite, having performed nationally and internationally.
Each year, we stage Drama productions in the Junior, Middle, and Senior Schools, with Senior School alternating between a play and a musical.
Additionally, your son has access to individual tuition across a wide range of instruments.
