Academic Entrance Scholarships
Each year Scotch College offers a number of academic scholarships for boys who are Australian residents, entering Year 7 of the following year. Applications are now open for Year 7 2020 and can be completed here. Rural, overseas and inter-state applications close Monday 18 March 2019. Local applications close Monday 25 March 2019.

Indigenous Scholarships
Scotch College offers four scholarships each year to indigenous students entering Year 7. Consideration will be given to other years but Year 7 is the preferred point of entry. Applicants will be chosen according to current academic progress and proven application to study, willingness to contribute to the Scotch community, leadership qualities and motivation for tertiary study. PC Anderson and WR Dickinson Scholarships (current students only)
Each year Scotch College awards a limited number of scholarships for Year 11 boys currently at the School, applications for these Scholarships open in Winter Term.

PC Anderson Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to sons or grandsons of Old Scotch Collegians for academic merit, leadership qualities, co-curricular involvement and achievement in PSA sport. The PC Anderson Scholarship was established by the Old Scotch Collegians to commemorate the contribution made by PC Anderson as Headmaster.

WR Dickinson Scholarship
This scholarship is available to all current Year 11 Scotch College students. This scholarship is awarded for academic merit, leadership qualities, co-curricular involvement and achievement in PSA sport.

Music Scholarship
Scotch College offers opportunities for gifted, talented and hardworking musicians to further their studies through Scotch Music. These opportunities are in the form of a Music Scholarship and Music Bursaries. Applications for the Scholarship are now open to both current and prospective students entering Year 6, 7 or 8 in 2020. Applications for Bursaries are open to both current and prospective students entering 7 in 2020.

Each year, the College Council will offer one Music Scholarship to a boy who wishes to pursue a musical pathway during their schooling studies. The Music Scholarship recipient will need to demonstrate a passion for music, a dedication to their musical journey and be willing to fully commit to the programme involvement required to achieve excellence. The Music Scholarship provides:

  • 50% remission of annual academic tuition fees and
  • 100% remission of annual music tuition fees, for one instrument

It is expected that the recipient maintain a high level of musical proficiency, such as to set an example to others in the Scotch Community. These remissions are ongoing until the end of Year 12. For further information regarding Music Scholarship and Bursaries, please click here.

Music Bursaries
Up to six (6) Music Bursaries are offered each year to applicants entering Year Seven in 2020, who demonstrate natural musical aptitude and a passion for their practical musical studies. Music Bursaries will be awarded to a musician from any background or experience level, with the College determining which instrument will be offered for future study. Music Bursaries provide:

  • A 100% remission of the annual music tuition fees, for the allocated instrument is ongoing until the end of Year 12.
  • A 100% remission of the annual instrument hire charges for a school allocated instrument, is for only the first year of the bursary.
