Welcome to Scotch College

Scotch College is an Independent School for Boys, situated on 50 hectares of magnificent grounds in the highly sought after Western Suburbs of Perth. It is located 10 Km from the CBD and 2 KM from some of the best beaches in the world. The College was founded in 1897 and has a proud history as a school of the Presbyterian Church, and since 1977,  the Uniting Church of Australia. Currently there are approximately 1500 boys enrolled across K-12.

When a boy commences his journey at Scotch, he is entering a Community for Life. Since the foundation of Scotch College in 1897, we have welcomed over 15,000 graduates into a vibrant and supportive community we call the Old Scotch Collegians (OSC).  With over 12,000 currently living and working in Australia and across the globe, on graduating, our students enter an amazing supportive network for life. The OSC continues to shape and support the personal and professional lives of our boys while at school and for many years after finishing Year 12.

The College has been at the forefront of education In Western Australia and Australia since its foundation in 1897.  Academically and pastorally, Scotch College is renowned as one of Australia's leading Independent schools for boys as well as a reputation as a school that prepares boys for a global experience. This is achieved through our status as a  World IB College and as a member of the  Round Square group of schools.

While we are known for our innovation, we are incredibly proud of our  heritage and history. The College's  pipe band has performed across the world including appearing at the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo.

Throughout its long history, the School has upheld a tradition of leadership and excellence in the field of education; this is reflected in our broad, innovative and progressive curriculum.

Scotch is seen as an  employer of choice, as reflected in the large number of applicants seeking to gain employment at the College. This demand ensures that only the highest quality candidates are chosen to teach and work at the College.

Our website is designed to give you an insight and introduction to the College. We welcome direct enquiries and invite you to see Scotch in action through a  personal tour of the School. These personal tours, conducted by our Admissions Office, enable you to view our facilities first hand while experiencing how the College operates. There are also a number of other College tour options and information sessions.

At Scotch, we pride ourselves on placing  every boy at the centre of our planning and strategy. I sincerely hope you enjoy finding out more about our great community and look forward to assisting you in the most important decision you will ever make as a family, that is, the education of your son(s).
