Brand new playground for Junior School

The first day of school this year held an extra dose of excitement for Scotch College Junior School boys . As well as new classrooms, the boys have a brand new adventure playground, chosen by the adventurers themselves.

The twin slides and climbing frame combination were the result of the boys voting for the type of playground of their dreams. Situated on the slope between the new Junior School campus and the Dining Hall, the playground has a massive shade sail to provide a safe and comfortable environment for the boys.

The playground was officially opened at morning recess and the teachers jumped at the invitation to try out the new equipment before the boys were free to enjoy their new facility.

Middle School and Junior School swapped campuses over the summer break, pending the building of a new Middle School campus in 2013, with teachers and maintenance staff working through the holidays to ensure a smooth transition.
