Academic Support and Extension

The Academic Support Team caters for the individual needs of boys through a comprehensive support programme.

The Academic Support Team identifies boys with learning needs on the continuum from gifted to learning dfficulties. Through consultation with teachers, school psychologists and chaplains, differentiated educational programmes and services are provided to cater for all boys.

Learning Difficulties

The Academic Support team identifies boys with special learning needs and differentiates programmes through case management, communicating each boy's progress as part of the working relationship with parents. For more information on Academic Support at Scotch College - click here.

Extension Programmes

Boys who are identified as gifted and talented are encouraged to realise their potential and share in a differentiated curriculum. Extension programmes are provided to cater for the level of rigour and higher order thinking to academically challenge the gifted and talented students.
